Multi Utility Long Range Naval Unmaned System
Varun Mk I, the Multi-Utility Long Endurance Naval Shipbome Unmanned Aerial System (UAS), is developed for use by the Indian Naval forces for Maritime Domain Awareness (MDA) and C4ISR duties. It is deployable from a ship's flight deck and recoverable both from the launch ship and an alternate platform afloat, even in varying sea states. The UAS is designed for surveillance operations, including maritime reconnaissance, SIGINT, target acquisition, and building MDA around a Task Group.
